Job description

In your new role, you will:

  • Develop and support tools, methodologies and design flows for EM simulation tools
  • Anticipate the needs of internal hardware design projects to ensure best-in-class methodologies for electrical and thermal verification of packages and systems
  • Trigger and track implementation of enhancements of the design flows to ensure on-time availability for productive usage
  • Share knowledge and work closely together with the worldwide Codesign community
  • Further improve existing software modules; including testing, refactoring and maintenance of our inhouse addons
  • Collaborate with and drive external EDA vendors to meet Infineons specific needs
  • Support the product development team with EM simulations and show optimization potentials

Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on working experience in the usage of electromagnetic simulation tools from Ansys (e.g. HFSS, Q3D, AEDT, Siwave, IcePack)
  • Extended knowledge about tools from alternative EDA vendors, like Keysight and Cadence
  • Good understanding of high speed and radio frequency (RF) system design across chip, package and board
  • Expertise in Unix/Linux and compute farm environments
  • A customer-oriented mindset with the ambition to solve technical problems for internal customers
  • Fluent English skills, German skills are a plus

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G-H (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2022.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
