The Klagenfurt Festival and the DONNERSzenen turn the city into a stage, spreading Mediterranean flair.
Klagenfurt scores with an excellent social and health care infrastructure. The new clinic makes Klagenfurt one of the most modern healthcare locations in Europe. In addition to the Elisabethinen hospital, the hospital UKH Klagenfurt and the Private Clinic Maria Hilf, there are also other specialist hospitals situated in the state capital. The region is an excellent research and university location – with the AAU Klagenfurt University and the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences at the forefront. The provincial capital is also the only university location in Carinthia with around 12,500 students.
