At this year's wood fair in Klagenfurt, 16 representatives from Slovenia were there and informed themselves about the strengths of Carinthia, especially in the field of Green Economy
The Slovenian delegation's program also included company visits to Fundermax and Wood K Plus - Kompetenzzentrum Holz, where the focus was also on research, as well as networking with the delegation from South Tyrol, who also visited the wood fair.
The main pillars of Carinthia’s bioeconomy are forestry, timber and paper. With 592,000 hectares of woodland, Carinthia is the second most-heavily forested province in Austria.
