Future-orientated degree courses, top results in teaching and research, a host of collaborations in Austria and beyond, ideal conditions for fostering young scientists and a truly unique campus are the hallmarks of the University of Klagenfurt . More than 11,600 students study and do research on campus; 2,000 of them from around 100 countries around the world.

In the global QS World University Ranking Top 50 Under 50, University of Klagenfurt is among the world’s best 150 young universities. Most recently, the University of Klagenfurt also achieved an excellent result in the Times Higher Education Ranking (THE).

Degree courses at the University of Klagenfurt stand out for their extraordinary quality in terms of guidance and support. When it comes to students, the university goes by quality instead of quantity, as well as by practice- and research-orientated course content.

The degree courses comprise cultural, technical and business science as well as teacher training courses in ten subjects. Overall, the university offers 18 bachelor and 26 master's degree courses, 13 teacher training subjects and 5 PhD courses.
This offer is completed by more than 50 continuing education courses, making the University of Klagenfurt one of Austria’s largest continuing education institutions.
Degree courses and lectures in English further emphasise its international focus.
One of the university’s most distinctive characteristic is its interdisciplinary approach, reflected in interdisciplinary degree courses, electives and lectures.
