The service-oriented concept of cooperation is one of the corner stones of the Feldkirchen region. These cooperation and network partners are here to support you on all your entrepreneurial paths:
Thanks to its geographic location, Feldkirchen is the ideal starting point for exploring the state of Carinthia. The foothills of the Nockberg Mountains make the landscape an El Dorado for hikers and cyclists. The idyllic bathing lakes in the region offer young and old a welcome opportunity to cool off and in winter they invite us to ice skate or play ice hockey. For skiers, snowboarders or cross-country skiers Feldkirchen is also the perfect starting point - many large ski-regions as well as real hidden gems are only a few minutes' drive away from each other.
When it comes to education the region has dedicated itself to a topic that could not be more future-oriented: The Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in Feldkirchen is dedicated exclusively to the sectors health and social services. The bandwidth ranges from "social work" to "biomedical analysis" - combined with an active focus on practical experience. The Diakonie de La Tour public hospital in Waiern is located above the district capital Feldkirchen. Around 100 employees look after 62 patients in three departments: internal medicine, acute geriatrics and psychosomatics.
